Valerie Linn
Valerie Linn is originally from New Orleans where she had a successful career in hotel and convention sales management for over a decade. In addition to being Senior Sales Manager for two of the finest hotels in the French Quarter, and spending most of her hospitality career in New Orleans, she is no stranger to Texas! She moved to The Woodlands, Texas to work as a Conference Sales Manager at The Woodlands Conference Center & Resort. Her early love for golf was fulfilled, as she played a lot of golf with clients and the sales team during her time there. As many people know, you can take the girl out of New Orleans, but you can’t take New Orleans out of the girl. Although she loved Texas, Valerie was recruited by The Greater New Orleans Convention Bureau to represent her beloved hometown as a Convention Sales Manager, securing convention center space, hotels, and other venues for major association conventions. She traveled around the US and Canada attending trade shows and presenting New Orleans as a destination for future conventions as well as organizing city-wide familiarization trips for major association meeting planners.
She received several awards in her hospitality career. A fun fact about Valerie is she is a Braillist and has a love for working with and supporting visually impaired students.
Valerie has a proverbial buffet of experience. After her hospitality career, she was focused on raising a family and worked in her father’s dental office from the front desk answering phones, every aspect of office management, as well as chair-side assistant. Growing up as a dentist’s daughter, going on vacations with several dentist families, she learned more about dentistry than she realized.
Valerie has been happily married to Kevin since 1995. Together they have three beautiful children Jennifer, Megan and Stephen. When she is not working with the dynamic ToPS team, Valerie enjoys reading, cooking, watching movies, volunteering, and spending time with her family and their little dog, Jack.
